This course introduces the students to a foundational understanding of Reformed theology and a vision for its application to the whole of life. Participants will explore the historical context of the Reformation, its enduring confessional heritage, and core theological principles that continue to shape the Church. Through interactive lectures, students will engage such topics as the Five Solas of the Reformation, the Five Points of Calvinism, Redemptive History, the role of the Holy Spirit, Evangelism, and the Cultural Implications of a God-centered Worldview.
Hermeneutics
This course introduces the students to the science and art of biblical interpretation, providing a solid foundation for personal study and for teaching in a variety of ministry contexts. Students will explore the nature of Scripture, the history and principles of hermeneutics, and the essential tools for interpreting the Bible faithfully. Through interactive sessions, participants will engage key topics such as genre analysis, literary and immediate and historical context, and the storyline of Scripture. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with practical methods for observation, interpretation, and application that enrich personal growth and strengthen their ability to teach God’s Word with clarity and confidence.
Bibliology
This course introduces the students to the doctrine of Scripture, exploring how God has revealed Himself, how the biblical books were inspired and recognized as authoritative, and how the text of Scripture has been faithfully transmitted to the present. Beginning with the nature of divine revelation and the distinctions between general and special revelation, the course examines the doctrine of verbal plenary inspiration and the classic attributes of Scripture; authority, sufficiency, clarity, and necessity. Students will trace the historical development of the Old and New Testament canons, evaluate key early church witnesses, and assess modern models of canon formation. The course also introduces some of the basic fundamentals of New Testament textual criticism, addressing how manuscripts were copied, why variants exist, and why these do not undermine the reliability of the biblical text.

Who is the program for?
Our courses are designed primarily for members of New City Wien and Christus Gemeinde Wien, but are also open to believers from other evangelical churches who desire solid, Reformed theological training.
Do I need to have previous theological education?
No. The program is accessible to anyone eager to learn and willing to engage with Scripture seriously, following approval from the leadership of Trinitas Akademie.
In what language are the courses taught?
All courses and seminars are conducted in English unless otherwise stated.
Is Trinitas Akademie a accredited seminary?
